“About 25 overseas tourist groups are received daily, making inbound tourism a highlight of Morong Miao Village.” Since the beginning of this year, the scenic area has received 40,000 tourists from Taiwan, Hong Kong, as well as 7 countries including South Korea, Malaysia and Thailand.

Last year, the tertiary industry, with a focus on tourism, contributed over 70% to the growth of the gross domestic product in Xiangxi Prefecture, and more than 500,000 people in the prefecture were engaged in tourism.
